Tips for tying the knot while it’s hot
With Summer wedding season in full-swing and the English weather as unpredictable as ever, happy couples...
Susan McGregor is a new independent celebrant based in Bury St Edmunds but happy to travel across the East Anglian region. She brings a wealth of experience to the role from past professions and from passions outside of work.
"I am thrilled to be launching this business venture and I'm really looking forward to the role and what I can offer couples who are marrying or renewing their vows - it's such a joyous thing to be involved in!" says Susan. "I have qualified as a wedding celebrant through the Academy of Modern Celebrancy and have a listing on their website whilst my own website is being developed.
"Alongside my role as an independent celebrant I'm also able to support those preparing to deliver speeches or readings on the day of the wedding," adds Susan. "I have a teaching qualification in Speech and Drama with the London College of Music, have an English Language and Drama degree and also a masters degree in Secondary Education. Through all of these I have the skills and experience to offer speech writing and presentation skills training to anyone involved in the wedding. From writing the speeches for them to helping with their confidence building and delivery before the day, this is an invaluable skill that will stand them in great stead for any profession they undertake afterwards or any event where they find themselves having to speak!"
Susain is going to be exhibiting at the Newmarket Wedding Show on February 26th, which is the perfect opportuntiy to meet face-to-face and discuss your big day.
