"Grooms getting hitched in the next couple of years have a lot to look forward to," says Savile Row suit designer, Kabiru Abu. "Gone are the days when the bride wore white, and no one remembered what the groom wore. This year and into 2024, colour will play a larger part than ever. Stand out trends include beautiful shades of red and green sitting alongside a selection of blues and greys.

"Tone on tone, a monochromatic effect is an excellent choice to achieve an exquisitely dapper look this season," adds Kabiru. "However, if grooms are reluctant to try bolder colours, off-whites and soft camel shades are always going to look stylish."

Kabiru’s keen eye for detail and his exemplary customer service mean he has quietly amassed clients, including Arsenal's Thomas Partey and Sambi Lokonga, World Champion Boxers' David Haye and Anthony Joshua and Grammy Award winning singers and music video producers Bebe Winans and Dapps.

“Gents, your wedding day is the one day in your life when all eyes are on you and your partner,” continues Kabiru. “You should look a million dollars and feel like you’re on top of the world. I can guarantee that wearing a bespoke Kabiru Abu suit, tailored precisely to your body will make you look the business on your special day. A major advantage of choosing a bespoke suit over an off-the-peg version is that you have complete control over all the details, from the fabric to the fit.

“You might love the colour red, for example, but don’t feel comfortable wearing all red," says Kabiru. "l will find you an exquisite fabric that is the exact shade of red you love and make you a jacket in that colour. We can then pair it with a different colour trouser that tones in beautifully. Alternatively, we could use your choice of red to add in some finer details to a more traditional colour suit. Choosing bespoke gives you the freedom to make your wedding day outfit your own. The extent of personal detail that only bespoke can provide should not be underestimated. Some couples choose to add a special message or picture onto the lining of the jacket or embroider the wedding date and initials onto the cuff. With a bespoke Kabiru Abu suit, pretty much anything is possible.”
