Rest and Relaxation

Rest and Relaxation

Q Do you have any wellness tips to help keep me calm in the run-up to my wedding?
A Debbie Lawes says: Start by rebooting your mind with a 'tech-free massage.' Combine the relaxation of a professional massage with a mini digital detox! Switch off your phone completely once you arrive at the spa and don't turn it on again until at least an hour after your treatment – not just silenced but off! Use this as a dedicated time away from notifications; that way you can fully immerse yourself in the experience, helping your mind reboot and leaving you feeling genuinely refreshed.

Transform your evening rest by adding a few drops of essential oil, like eucalyptus or cedarwood, onto a small fabric sachet and slipping it inside your pillowcase. It's an unexpected way to turn bedtime into a mini aromatherapy session and can help improve sleep quality while promoting relaxation.

Use a hydrating face mask at home or indulge in a facial and then spend the 15–20 minutes it takes to work its magic doing a quick journal session. Reflect on your goals, jot down your dreams, or simply list things you're grateful for. Combining skincare and mindfulness will make the most of your downtime.
